Projection Areas in Your Graphics

ASCEND retractable exhibit display showing projection area

Should you consider the use of projection?
Once considered only of use to those selling software, projected imagery can significantly increase the success of the any exhibitor. The reasons are numerous. Projection can:

  • Create movement within your exhibit to increase visual attraction
  • Give attendees a reason to stop even if they do not wish to visit
  • Display a greater number of larger images in the same size booth
  • Show sequential usage case histories of your product in action
  • Facilitate non-verbal communication with foreign language attendees
  • Bring products that cannot be exhibited effectively into your booth

Why a BannerBooth.com ™ exhibit if you choose to project?
Our exhibits are designed to enable projection without additional expense.

Graphics for all BannerBooth® brand exhibits begin as smooth, bright white vinyl. When assembled, all of our exhibits are flat. Having a projection area is as simple as leaving a blank area in your artwork computer file.

Special effects such as using the image of a gold leaf frame or video monitor to accent your projection area are a part of your artwork, not your structure.

projecting a graphic onto a displayAre there any special configurations that facilitate projection?
Many exhibitors plan their exhibit's graphics so that they can place a table perpendicular to their BannerBooth® brand display, very similarly to the position of a 'runway' at a fashion show or beauty pageant.

In this illustration, a standard 2' X 6' rental table creates two 4' X 6' gathering areas for attendees within a 10' X 10' booth. Literature can be placed within easy reach of attendees on the same table. When a projector is manually operated, an operator standing at the head of the table will be able to see the expressions on observers' faces enabling a more tailored presentation.

At the same time a well-defined 4' X 10' zone for working the aisle is established.

Which product configurations work best for this and why?
Generally the No-Frame™and the Taybl-Free™, because they do not use more than an inch of space from the back curtain of your booth space.

How do I plan a projection area in my artwork?
Our PDF document, Planning A Projection Area In Your Artwork, explains how to do this in more detail.
